Restaurant Operator's Opinion on Situation of COVID-19 Pandemic in Buriram Town Municipality

Abstract
This research article investigated economic and social conditions, guidance on prevention and adjustment, and opinions on the government’s relief measures to aid restaurant operators in Muang Municipality of Buriram Province affected by the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19). This quantitative research used questionnaire to collect data from research participants who were 250 restaurant operators whose registered places of business operation were in Muang Municipality of Buriram Province. Results of the study indicated that during Covid-19 outbreak, most of the restaurant operators were unable to earn enough income while their expenses increased. They had problems with rents of business premises, an increase in the prices of raw materials and a decrease in the number of customers. To abide by the government’s preventive measures, the restaurant operators adjusted themselves by selling additional products or providing telephone or online food ordering services. A survey of the restaurant operators’ opinions on the government’s aid measures revealed that their overall satisfaction was at the moderate level
