Valuable Woodlot Community Prototype for Tourism: A Case Study of Dong Noi Village, Nadoon District, Maha Sarakham Province
Main Article Content
Abstract
This paper aims to examine the status of community tourism based on the valuable woodlot. Another aim is to establish tourism activities related to forest conservation activity in the community. The study using indicators and criteria determined sustainable forest management in the community and community-based tourism. The focus group and the appreciation influence control (AIC) were conducted with the Dong Noi community. The results show that the sustainable community forest management status is at the moderate level (1.92 of 3.00), and the status level of the community-based tourism at a high level (2.48 of 3.00). The study indicated that establishing the tourism activities related to forest conservation and establishing the valuable wood community should factor in the potential of the community's environmental capital and human capital. The recruitment of teamwork within the community and the collaboration with the outside network is another crucial requirement for success.
