Participatory Innovation Among Elderly People by Creative Creation for Establishing Elderly School in Ban Laeng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Lampang Province

Abstract
This research aimed to 1) design projects aimed to the improvement of the quality of life of the elderly and 2) develop guidelines for the establishment of elderly. The target group were 100 elderly by purposive selection. The quantitative research tools were 1) questionnaire about quality of life and 2) suggest the guideline to build up the elderly school model. Qualitative tools were used lesson transcription, Interview and focus group which analysed by data analysis. The research results showed that the activities of wicker balls for exercise of elderly, and local knowledge of this community involved in this research helped elderly learn together. The important components that could help materialize the establishment the elderly school were 1) elderly, 2) place and facilities, 3) duration and timing of activities, 4) contents of teaching and learning, 5) lecturer, 6) elderly leaders, 7) allowances, 8) housing, and 9) communication channels that co-operative with social institutions in the community. The integrating of wicker ball creations and local wisdom activities was developed to be a course for the elderly.
