Model of Cultural Tourism Based on Local Wisdom in Khlong Thepha Basin, Songkhla Province

This research is to develop the cultural tourism model and route that based on local wisdom in Thepha basin area, Songkhla province. A researcher has studied and gathered some documentary facts and related researches. The research team and villagers made a discussed forum for specifying each area of local wisdom tourism. The activities of a study tour, a workshop seminar and training for being a good host and a tourism programming design were set to be tried out and made a tourism track assessment by tourists who live in another area. The result of the study is revealed that the 4 village communities which are Ban Ba-Hoy, Ban Pru-mak, Baan Na Koh and Ban Paknam Phraphutha have set their cultural tourism model in their community as a Rural Tourism style. This means the tourism track is connected by the 4 villages from the area of Khlong Thepha basin. Their identity appears in their way of life and creative products. The local wisdom and knowledge of creative products are prominent to a model of tourist in 2 programs.
