Abstract

The objective of this research is to study the process of knowledge management for Karen weaving, located in Pamorlor village, Ban Kat Sub-district, Mae Sariang District, Mae Hong Son Province. The research methodology consists of a qualitative research by using the SECI model and a set of questionnaires. The results showed that the pattern of weaving was used in the village of Pamorlor is a backstrap loom, which is woven by a small weaving machine using a backstrap that is the movement of a weaver to force the yarn either tightly or slackly as needing. The waist-weaving-tool is the small size and not wide, easy to carry; moreover, it is not complicated to use and able to create beautiful patterns.  The development of knowledge management model is formed by “Cheki Cheu Learning Center” where is the important place for promoting vision, preserving and conveying knowledge to local people and others, who learn to get orders and improve the application which benefit can be applied and continuously creates the added-value of Pamorlor, where is the home of textile crafts.
