Food Security in Ban Don Bay Fishery Household

Abstract

The paper studied food security in Ban Don Bay fishery households from the point of view of food assessment. The survey research was conducted by asking questionnaires in 6 districts of Surat Thani province, total 330 fishery households of Ban Don bay.  The data was analyzed by mean standard deviation standard errors and variance analysis by One way ANOVA. The result showed that Ban Don fishery households had high level of access to food, both in terms of income and expenses and the ability to access food materials because of the abundance of Ban Don fishery resources in Ban Don Bay.
