Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study the information about transitioning of art and culture capital for spatial development of the Plai Bang, Nonthaburi community enterprise. The research was studied through the concept of area based approach and community participation based on the qualitative research methodology, focusing on 3 issues:  investigating tangible and intangible cultural resources in the area; the process of using those resources in the operations of the community enterprise; strengths and challenges of applying art and culture capital. The research results showed that this community enterprise was born from an effort to revive the area that had been affected by the 2011 flood to become a community that can sustain a living through cultural heritages. In addition, the operations of community enterprises have the opportunity to develop further through the partnership and cooperation networks that can promote creating identity and increasing publicity for cultural areas with creative and sustainable economic systems.
