Satisfaction and Key Components for Funding from External Funding Agency of Faculty of Physical Therapy, Mahidol University

Abstract

Research is the main strategy of Mahidol University. Therefore, the research unit realizes the importance of continuity and sustainability of the research and meeting the education criteria for performance excellence. This study aimed to assess the satisfaction and engagement of the customers of the research unit i.e.external funding agencies. The external funding agencies are intermediaries for delivering innovations or work pieces to the private sector and/or the community or owning the work. In this study, a funding agency satisfaction questionnaire of the Faculty of Physical therapy based on the funding agency satisfaction questionnaire of Mahidol University to collect data form 11 funding agencies was developed. The results showed that the overall satisfaction of funding agency towards the researcher and policies of the Faculty of Physical Therapy was high. The agreement towards the statement “The external funding agency deems appropriate to support the researcher/team” was at high level. In addition, the agreement towards the statement “The organization established research collaboration and integrated learning, teaching and academics service for sustainability” was at high level.
