Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed to 1) develop an effective brain-based learning plan combined with skill-building exercises on composing 11-syllable verse forms for Grade 7 students, meeting the 80/80 effectiveness criterion; 2) study the effectiveness index of the learning plan; 3) compare learning progress before and after the intervention; and 4) study student satisfaction with the BBL learning model combined with skill-building exercises. The target group was 40 students from Grade 7/11 at Loei Pittayakom School, Semester 2, Academic Year 2024, the class where the researcher was undertaking teacher training. The research instruments included 1) four learning plans; 2) pre- and post-test assessments; and 3) a student satisfaction questionnaire. The research findings revealed that: 1) The lesson plan was effective with scores of 80.81/85.50, exceeding the set criterion of 80/80; 2) The effectiveness index was 80%, indicating good learning progress among students; 3) Post-test scores were significantly higher than pre-test scores at the .05 statistical significance level; and 4) Overall student satisfaction with the learning process was at a "high" level. The study concludes that Brain-Based Learning (BBL) combined with skill-building exercises was effective in developing students' skills in composing the Kapyani 11 poetic form and fostering a positive attitude towards learning the Thai language in a happy and creative way.
