Designing a Learning Environment for Community Innovation Development
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this research is to design a learning environment to develop community-oriented innovations and to analyze the learning environment's impact on innovation development for the community and learners' learning attitudes. The research activities encompass designing and creating experimental sets for skill development in community-oriented innovation, designing and improving classroom layouts and seating arrangements in the laboratory, and designing the physical environment. The research sample consists of undergraduate students majoring in Electrical Engineering at Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya. The sample selection employs purposive sampling with a total of 32 participants. Data collection involves having student complete questionnaires after experiencing the learning environment created. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the learning environment variables that affect learning promotion for community innovation development. The research results concluded that alignment with teaching activities of the experimental sets and the ability to stimulate learners' interest in learning through the experimental sets are factors that affect the capacity to promote learning for learners' community innovation development skills. Additionally, factors related to the appropriateness of the experimental sets and the arrangement of the learning environment influence learners' learning attitudes towards designing and developing innovations for the community.
