As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • 1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • 2. The submitted manuscript must follow conditions and manuscript format categorized by the journal, and it can be found and also download all templates in the Download menu.
  • 3. Author(s) check word count in the submitted manuscript regarding the journal conditions. Please find the information HERE
  • 4. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed. An example is available HERE. Please note that the author(s) might not be able to edit or change authors' information after receiving the final result or the editor's final decision.
  • 5. The submission file is in WORD document file (.doc or .docx) format only, and should follow the guidelines provided by the journal, as the available templates (see an EXAMPLE).
  • 6. All reference items presented in the submitted articles, such as website URL, video or digital media link, and so on, must be online and practical.
  • 7. If my original manuscript does not meet all of the above criteria (7 criteria), I definitely accept the first-stage screening by the Editor-in-Chief, before getting into the peer-review process.

Instructions for Authors

The Journal of Education, Khon Kaen University, published by the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, aims to disseminate academic and research works in education, learning development, educational innovation, and classroom research. The journal accepts manuscripts in both Thai and English from lecturers, scholars, researchers, students, and other interested contributors.

The journal operates through an online journal management system and applies a peer-review process conducted by at least three qualified reviewers from different institutions who have no conflicts of interest with the authors. The review process follows a double-blind review system in which both reviewers and authors remain anonymous to ensure transparency and adherence to international academic standards.


Journal Objectives

  • To disseminate and exchange academic knowledge and research in education, learning management, and educational innovation.

  • To enhance the quality of scholarly work produced by educational professionals and researchers in related fields.

  • To promote continuous knowledge creation and the advancement of educational research at national and international levels.

The journal considers manuscripts related to educational sciences and associated disciplines, including:

  • Teaching and learning management and learning activities

  • Lifelong learning and adult education

  • Teaching methods and instructional techniques

  • Classroom research

  • Educational measurement and evaluation

Publication Schedule

The journal is published electronically (online) on a quarterly basis, comprising four issues per year:

  • Issue 1: January – March

  • Issue 2: April – June

  • Issue 3: July – September

  • Issue 4: October – December

Each issue publishes approximately 10 articles in Thai and English.

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening before being evaluated by at least three expert reviewers in relevant fields who have no conflicts of interest with the authors. The journal employs a double-blind peer review system.


Review and Acceptance Procedures

  1. Initial screening for formatting compliance and plagiarism detection

  2. Manuscript review by qualified peer reviewers

  3. Revision by authors based on reviewers’ comments (if required)

  4. Final academic verification by the editorial board

  5. Notification of the decision and issuance of an acceptance letter once the manuscript meets publication requirements

All communications are conducted through the ThaiJO system, and authors are responsible for regularly monitoring their manuscript status.


Publication Fees

Starting from 2025 (B.E. 2568), the Journal of Education, Khon Kaen University does not charge any Article Processing Charges (APC) at any stage of manuscript evaluation or publication.


Manuscript Preparation

Authors must prepare manuscripts according to the journal’s prescribed template and ensure accuracy in content, language, and references prior to submission. Proper formatting facilitates a faster review process. The editorial board reserves the right to decline manuscripts that do not comply with journal requirements.


Submission Requirements

  • Manuscripts must not have been previously published or be under consideration elsewhere.

  • All co-authors must approve the submission.

  • Manuscripts must not involve plagiarism or copyright infringement.

  • Research involving human participants must obtain ethical approval, and the approval number must be stated in the manuscript.

All submissions are screened using CopyCat and iThenticate plagiarism detection software under the following criteria:

  • Overall similarity index: not exceeding 20% for research articles and 10% for academic articles

  • Similarity from a single source: not exceeding 5%


Manuscript Format

  • Manuscripts may be written in Thai or English.

  • Files must be prepared using Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx).

  • References must follow APA 7th edition style.

  • Abstract length: 200–250 words with 3–5 keywords.

Retraction Policy

If plagiarism or publication misconduct is identified after publication, the journal will retract the article in accordance with Thailand Citation Index (TCI) guidelines and clearly announce the article’s status while notifying relevant institutions.
