Development of Problem-Based Teaching Techniques to Enhance Analytical Thinking Skills in General Education Courses for Students at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi

The research aimed to 1) develop problem-based teaching techniques to enhance analytical thinking skills in general education courses for students at Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi and 2) compare analytical thinking skills before and after using problem-based teaching techniques in general education courses. The sample group consisted of 45 students from Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi. Data analysis was conducted using statistical values, percentages, means, standard deviations, and paired t-tests. Data were collected using questionnaires and a set of problem-based learning activities. The results of the hypothesis testing showed that the students demonstrated significant differences in their abilities in solving complex problems and in creating value and innovation. For solving complex problems, the mean score before the intervention was 9.92 and after was 14.30, with a t-statistic of -18.015 and a p-value of 0.000, indicating a statistically significant difference. For creating value and innovation, the mean score before the intervention was 9.92 and after was 12.65, with a t-statistic of -9.556 and a p-value of 0.000, also indicating a statistically significant difference.
