Transformational Leadership of School Administrators nder the Office of the Vocational Education ommission in Samut Prakan Province

The purposes of this research were to 1) examine the level of transformational leadership among school administrators under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Samut Prakan Province and 2) compare transformational leadership levels of these administrators under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Samut Prakan Province based on gender, educational background, age, and work experience. This survey research employed a sample of 175 teachers from OVEC-affiliated schools in Samut Prakan, selected using stratified random sampling followed by simple random sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.98. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics—frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation—and inferential statistics, including t-tests and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Where statistically significant differences were found, Scheffé’s method was used for post-hoc comparisons. The findings of the study revealed that the overall level of transformational leadership among school administrators under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Samut Prakan Province was high. When considering each component individually, all aspects were also rated at a high level. Ranked by average score from highest to lowest, the components were: inspirational motivation, idealized influence, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The comparison of transformational leadership among school administrators under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission in Samut Prakan Province, categorized by gender, educational background, age, and work experience, revealed the following: 1) Based on gender, no statistically significant differences were found. 2) Based on educational background, a statistically significant difference was found at the 0.05 level. 3) Based on age, a statistically significant difference was found at the 0.05 level. Administrators should be mindful of teachers’ age when demonstrating transformational leadership by showing friendliness, being open-minded, listening to feedback and suggestions, involving team members in shaping the institution’s vision, and respecting individual differences to accommodate the diverse age groups of teachers. 4) Based on work experience, no statistically significant differences were found.
