The Impact of Using Online Social Network to Improve Information Retrieval Skill of Students in Faculty of Education, Thepsatri Rajabhat University

This research aimed to study the information retrieval skill of teacher students and comparetheskill beforeand afterusingonlinesocialnetwork.The56samples wereselected using random sampling from 3rd year undergraduate students majoring in Early Childhood Education, who registered in the Innovation and Technology in Education course in the 1st semesterof academic year 2015. The researchinstruments were lesson planand evaluation form of information retrieval skill. The data were analyzed by using the percentage, mean (x), standard deviation (S.D.) and T-Test. The results showed that the information retrieval skillof teacher students beforeusingonline socialnetwork was at a low level (Mean = 2.47). Meanwhile,afterusingonlinesocialnetwork, it was found that their informationretrieval skill was at a high level (Mean = 4.21), which was significantly higher than before at .05 level
