The Efficiency Validation of English Reading Comprehension Material Based on English Newspaper and Dictionary through Action Learning for Undergraduates at Dhonburi Rajabhat University and the Assessment of Their Learning Achievement

The purposesof this research weretovalidatetheefficiencyof the developed English

and to assess the undergraduates learning achievement from using the developed material.
The instrument employed in this research was an English reading comprehension post-test
with70 questions.Theresearchsampleof this studyconsisted of156undergraduatestudents
studying in regular program at Dhonburi Rajabhat University and enrolled for the subject of
EnglishforStudySkills (0150103and 0011104) inthe2nd semester2016.Thefindings indicated
that theefficiencyof the developed material wasat82.16/81.25 which met the80/80criteria
and implied that the developed material had a high efficiency. The overall post-test score
was higher than that of pretest at the statistical significant level of 0.05.
