The Readiness to Use Electronic Document (e-Document) System of Dhonburi Rajabhat University Staff

Abstract

This research aimed to study the level of readiness, problems, and obstacles in using electronic document (e-Document) system of staff, and ways to develop the system of DhonburiRajabhat University(DRU).Thesampleconsisted of222 participants (executives, lecturers, and staff), selected by using stratified random sampling technique. Data was collected byusing questionnaires,and wasanalyzed statisticallyfor frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The results showed that 1) the level of readiness of DRU’s staff for e-Document system was at high level (the average = 3.80). The highest level of readiness was the usage knowledge (the average = 3.91). The least level of readiness was the usage awareness (mean = 3.65). 2) The problems of e-Document system usage was at high level (the average value = 3.51). The most frequently found problem was circulation of e-Document was not effective due to lack of skills and training (the average value = 3.82). The least found problem was the access code which cannot be accessed in the same time (the average = 3.35). In addition, the overall obstacle was at medium level (the average = 3.30). The most found obstacle was the delay in downloading documents and files (the average = 3.82). The least found obstacle was the complication in checking signatures (the average = 2.67). 3) The suggestions for development were to develop the university’s internet system for the Continuityof work and toincrease the staff awareness of using e-Document system
