An Evaluation of the Student Care and Support System Project of Educational Opportunity Extension Schools Under the Jurisdiction of Kamphaeng Phet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

This study aims 1) to evaluate the student care and support system project of educational opportunity extension schools under the jurisdiction of Kamphaeng Phet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 and 2) to find guidelines to develop the student care and support system project of educational opportunity extension schools under the jurisdiction of Kamphaeng Phet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The sample group of the study was selected from 346 people, which consisted of school directors, project teachers, homeroom teachers, and students using multi-stage random sampling. The informants consisted of 17 experts. The tools used for data collection were questionnaires and a structured interview. The data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation (S.D.), frequency (f), and ranking. The research findings were as follows: 1) The overall evaluation of the student care and support system project of educational opportunity extension schools under the jurisdiction of Kamphaeng Phet Primary Educational Service Area Office 1 passed the assessment criteria. When it was considered in detail, there were 3 appropriate aspects consisting of the implementation process at the high level, followed by the project outcomes and the preliminary aspects of the project at the lowest level, respectively; and 2) The guidelines to develop the student care and support system project of educational opportunity extension schools were as follows: As for input, administrators and teachers should follow the PLC process to examine current conditions, problems, and needs related to the relationship between schools and communities. As for process, the school needed to analyze strengths and weaknesses and also to determine visions, missions, and goals which were managed according to the school action plan. As for output, the school should organize the student care and support system project. The project’s outcomes must be reported and summarized every year to make the supervision and monitoring process truly effective and systematic.
