บทคัดย่อ

Spreading the Roman Catholic teaching in Siam at Rattanakosin period has begun from the publicizing of the priest Kuverse, who was responsible of Siam Mission. Besides, he had the requirement
to spread the Roman Catholic teaching to Chinese people who live in some areas inside this country. Similarly, he has noticed that there were crowded of Siam people living in significant town and
ports to tradethat have prone to change in to believing in Christianity more easily than other Buddhist ones. After that, in the first stage the spreading of Roman Catholic teaching in Bangkok was in the superb way, especially for Chinese people that resulted into Siam Dioceses, which desired to expand the spread scope area to Chinese people in other areas also.

In addition, at that time Chachoengsao province was the new town which moved the center from Bangkhla to Ban Sotorn. Besides, it resulted from the politic reason and war between Siam and Yuan. Similarly, this area was the significant one of economics, especially in trade and cane industry with canal digging to connect the Central and the East together as the strategic route for becoming the area of Chinese people to emigrate in agricultural, industrial and labor field.

Then, these Chinese people have lived separately along the riverbank of Nakornniangkate to Bansotorn and Bangkhla. Moreover, these Chinese people become to be the crucial goal to spread Roman Catholic teaching of Western priest in terms of assigning the spread tasks to Chinese people in Siam.

According to spreading the Roman Catholic teaching, it affected to have more numbers of Chinese people who believe in this religion increasingly from the first stage of spreading. Besides, it resulted from applying the concept idea to spread in Chinese language and allow some Chinese people to be the leaders to assemble as the assistant priests by creating the assistance group from the young ones who are faith in this teaching. Moreover, these assistant priests had participated to contact directly with the Chinese households, especially in villages or Chinese communities. Then, it resulted in the setting up of Churches and Christ communities for several locations in Chachoengsao province. As the result, these Christ communities and Churches are related to the Dioceses in Bangkok in the excellent way, especially for Kalhawar temple including of the relationship with Chinese Dioceses and Western Dioceses. Therefore, these are the networks of Christianity Belief, and the growth of Roman Catholic Chinese communities in Chachoengsao province can count into one part of ethnical local history connected to internal and external historic areas of Thailand.
