บทคัดย่อ

This article studies about consequences of Ayutthaya-French relation in period of King Narai’s reign. The intellectual development in the 17th Century Europe improved more knowledge than the previous time that attached Ayutthaya court’s attention when contracting the West. And due to friendly diplomacy and rapid developed relationships, Ayutthaya court received much knowledge and technology from France. Interestingly, this was the second western intellectual receiving, the first occurred with Portuguese. Enthusiastic responding to receive various knowledge from outsiders was one of important factors making Ayutthaya to be able to adapt the knowledge for the royal favor.
