Abstract

The purposes of this research was to study : 1) To develop and validate a model of
the factors that influence motivation 2) for study direct way influence and indirect of manner
cause factor that are influential the motivation in the study of the first year students at the
new Rajabhat University in the Northeast. The sample used in this study is students enrolled
in the Rajabhat University in the Northeast Kalasin Rajabhat University, Roi Et Rajabhat
University, Rajabhat University Chaiyapoom, Sisaket Rajabhat University. Students in the
normal the academic year in 2555. The sample selected by multi-stage sampling technique,
1,000 persons. The tools used in this research were : 1) a measure of motivation to study Is
divided into 3 sections and the discriminative power from 0.626 to 0.740 reliability was
0.897, 0.894, 0.936, respectively. 2) the test Is divided into four self-conception about the
discriminative power and value from 0.351 to 0.866 reliability was 0.936, 0.897, 0.894, and
0.691, respectively. 3) the attitude towards education Is divided into 3 sections and the
discriminative power from 0.745 to 0.893 reliability was 0.954, 0.937, 0.921, respectively. 4)
questionnaire of the learning environment is divided into 3 sections and the discriminative
power from 0.493 to 0.746 reliability was 0.857, 0.757, 0.887, respectively. 5) questionnaire of
the learning environment is divided into 3 sections and the discriminative power from 0.493
to 0.746 reliability was 0.857, 0.757, 0.887, respectively. Data were analyzed by latent
variable of path analysis of structural equation modeling (SEM).
The results of the study were as follows :
1) The model was congruent with the empirical data, which determined from the
results of χ 2 )=104.80 , df = 87, x2 /df = 1.20, p = 0.0987, CFI = 0.999, GFI=0.987, AGFI =0.980,
RMSEA = 0.014 , RMR = 0.0168 respectively. All of the variables could explained 70.50
percentage of the motivation for further study of the first year students at the new Rajabhat
University in the Northeast variance.
2) Variables that have direct effect on motivation in education (Mov), including
self concept (Sel) variables that influence both directly and indirectly. Education environment
(Ede) family environment (Fam), attitude towards study (Att).
