Abstract

The having-sexual-relationships behaviors before an appropriate age of adolescents
which are problems at present, major causes attitudes and values which have changed.
There are several factors causing students to have attitudes to sex relationships at school
age. Thus this study aimed to examine factors influencing attitude to sex relationships at
school age of second year student in higher education Changwat Sisaket, The sample
consisted of 1,000 second year student Diploma students and undergraduates. Changwat
Sisaket in Semester 2 Academic Year 2555, obtained using the multistage random sampling
technique. Eight type of the instruments used in the study comprised : a scale on Democratic
Rearing, a scale on Media, a scale on Self Confidence, a scale on Self Efficacy, a scale on
Emotional Quotient, a scale on Adversity Quotient, a scale on Consumptionism Behaviors, a
scale on the attitude to sexual relationships at school age, Perception reliabilities at .936,
.970, 935, .908, .953, .967, .981, .963respectively. Data were analyzed by latent variable of
path analysis of structural equation modeling (SEM).
The results of the study were as follows:
1) The Causal Model Factors Influencing the Attitude to Sex Relationships at
School Age of second year student in higher education Changwat Sisaket was consisted
with empirical data regarding χ 2 = 327.05, df =293, χ 2 /df = 1.116, p = .08339, CFI = .999,
GFI=.978, AGFI = .965, RMSEA = .011, RMR = .025 2) The variable directly affecting perception
of the Attitude to Sex Relationships at School Age was Consumptionism Behaviors, Self
Efficacy, Media. The variable indirectly affecting perception of the Attitude to Sex Relationships
at School Age was Adversity Quotient. The variables both directly and indirectly affecting
perception of the Attitude to Sex Relationships at School Age were Emotional Quotient,
Self Confidence ,Democratic Rearing. All variables could explain the variance of the
perception of the Attitude to Sex Relationships at School Age at 84.50 percent.
