The Comparisons of Academic Achievement, Analytical Thinking and Emotional Quotient of Non-Formal Students Between Using the Multiple Intelligences Theory Approach and the Jigsaw Learning Approach Under the learning skill Subject
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purposes of this research are : (1) to develop the multiple intelligences
theory approach plan and the Jigsaw learning approach plan for the high school
level , (2) to study the effective factors of the multiple intelligence theory approach
plan and the Jigsaw learning approach plan for the high school level, (3) to compare
the result of the learning achievement , the result of the analytical thinking and the
result of the used emotional quotient of the students who used the multiple intelligences
theory approach and the Jigsaw learning approach. The sample used in this study
consisted of the non-formal and the informal students attending the Srisaket Muang
District Center school, Srisaket Province which studied in the second semester of
the academic year 2012. These sampled students come from the cluster random
sampling technique. The number of students are 40 and 42 respective . The instruments
used in this study are, (1) the multiple intelligences theory approach plan and the
Jigsaw learning approach plan, we used one format for 8 plans, each plan has 2 hours,
(2) the 40 items achievement test (B)=0.25-0.84, ( rcc) =0.78, (3) the 25 items test of
critical thinking (
xy
r ) = 0.26-0.62, (α )=0.81 (4) the 25 items of the emotional quotient
test which has 5 levels format (
xy
r ) = 0.31-0.76, (α ) = 0.89 (5) the analytical by using
statistic, percentage, arerage, deviation and t-test (Independent Sample) and F-test (One-way
MANOVA) emphathesis .
The results of the research are as follow :
1. The value of effectiveness by using activities plans under the multiple
intelligence theory approach and the Jigsaw plan are 83.08/79.56 and 80.24/78.21
respectively.
2. The effectiveness indexes of the activities plan under the multiple
intelligences theory approach and the Jigsaw learning approach are 0.6379 and 0.6111
respectively
3. The students who learned using the multiple intelligences theory approach
and those who learned using the Jigsaw learning approach have no difference result in
learning organized, critical thinking, and emotional quotient.
