A Comparison of the Ability to Read and Attitudes Towards Thai Language Learning about Transformation Vowel and Inherent Vowel for Grade 2 students. Using Multimedia Technique with Phonic Reading and a Different Presentation Style

Abstract
Learning and Teaching with Multimedia is becoming popular and effective because
It was presented in the form of multidimensional content. This research aims 1) To determine
the effectiveness of the media with technical reading Phonic about transformation vowel
and inherent vowel with efficiency of 80/80 2) To find the effectiveness index of multimedia
technique’s reading phonic about transformation vowel and inherent vowel. 3) To compare
the ability to read about transformation vowel and inherent vowel. 4) To compare attitudes
towards learning’s thai language by using Multimedia with reading phonic techniques about
transformation vowel and inherent vowel. Samples used in the research are grade 2 students
at Banpakchong school, Roi-Et Primary Educational Service Area Office, 1st Semester ,2014.
60 students derived from Cluster Random Sampling. The samples were divided into 2
groups first group ; 30 students learned with using Multimedia with reading phonic techniques.
It’s presentation style reading distribute the spelling while the other group ; 30 students
learned with using Multimedia with reading phonic techniques. It’s present to read the
relative distribution volume. Each group was experimented for 16 hours. The instrument
used in this study were 1) Multimedia on 2 different course formats are phonic reading to
present style reading distribute the spelling and Phonic reading a presentation style reading
the distribution of the sound. 2) Multiple-choice reading test 3 choices with 30 questions.
Discrimination (B) ranging 0.20 to 0.60 and The reliability of a reading test equal to 0.87, An
attitude to learn thai language ,and The reliability all of the test’s Rating Scale with 20 test
0.96 . questions. There is the discrimination (B) is ranging 0.46 to 0.88 and the confidence
level all of the The statistics used in research are percentage, average, Standard deviation
and t - test (Independent Samples)
The results were as follows:
1. Using Multimedia with reading phonic techniques to present style reading
distribute the spelling. There is efficiency equal to 88.00 / 83.00 and Using Multimedia with
reading phonic techniques to Present style reading the relative distribution volume. There is
efficiency equal to 87.81/83.33
2. Using Multimedia with reading phonic techniques to present style reading
distribute the spelling. It’s index of effectiveness equal to 0.3625 and Using Multimedia with
reading phonic techniques to Present style reading the relative distribution volume. It’s
index of effectiveness equal to 0.3698
3. There is no significant difference between the two multimedia with reading
phonic techniques to present style reading distribute the spelling and multimedia with
reading phonic techniques to present style reading the relative distribution volume on ability
of reading.
4. There is no significant difference between the two multimedia with reading
phonic techniques to present style reading distribute the spelling and multimedia with
reading phonic techniques to present style reading the relative distribution volume on
attitude towards studying Thai.
