Developing a model of factors influencing the Future-Oriented Characteristics of Matthayomsueksa 3 students under the Office of School District zone 27
Main Article Content
Abstract
The purpose of this research were 1) to investigate the causal factors influencing
the Future-Oriented Characteristics of Matthayomsueksa 3 students under the Secondary
Educational Service Area 27 2) to developand examine the goodness of fit of the causal
factors model that had effect on the Future-Oriented Characteristics of Matthayomsueksa 3
students under the Secondary Educational Service Area 27 with the empirical data. The
research sample consisted of 1,000 Matthayomsueksa 3 students in 1st semester of 2012
academic year under the Secondary Educational Service Area 27 obtained by using multistage random sampling technique. The research instruments were 5 scales :a scale on
personality, a scale on learning attitude, a scale on achievement motive, a scale on
emotional intelligence and a scale on future-oriented characteristics with discriminating
powers raging .43-.68 , .36-.67, .33-.66, .42-.79, and .33-.77 respectively. and reliabilities of .88,
.85, .87, .88 and respectively, a questionnaire on learning environment with discriminating
powers raging .51-.78 and reliability of .87. Data were analyzed by path analysis with LISREL.
The results were found that;
1. The factors influencing the Future-Oriented Characteristics of Matthayomsueksa 3
students under the Secondary Educational Service Area 27 were personality, learning
environment, learning attitude, achievement motive and emotional intelligence.
2. The causal factors model influencing the Future-Oriented Characteristics of
Matthayomsueksa 3 students under the Secondary Educational Service Area 27was
consistent with empirical data regarding. by Χ= 316.225 , df = 279 , p = .0062 , Χ /df (<2) =
1.133, GFI = .976 , AGFI = .970 , SRMR (<.20) = .042 , RMSEA (<.08)= .012. The fit model
showed the empirical data.
In conclusion, each factor was associated one another. Therefore, the persons
concerned such as teachers , parentsand students should realize about these factors to
promote and develop the factorsinfluencing the Future-Oriented Characteristics.
