Abstract

The objective of this article is to study complicated and challenging shift in the world of management, present leaders are pressured to make decisions under constraints. Therefore, it is necessary to find an appropriate approach to their structural context and authority as organizational leaders. This study aims to explore and apply servant leadership through lessons from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms as a treasure of strategic wisdom and morality inherited for centuries. This analyzes the personalities and roles of major leaders from Liu Bei, Cao Cao, and Sun Quan, along with a contemporary literature review on ethical leadership theory, cultural dimension theory, transformational leadership concept, and modern organizational concept. The analysis results reflect three key characteristics of servant leaders: loyalty, honesty, and ethics, which play a significant role in fostering trust and cooperation and driving organizational growth under rapidly changing and highly complex environments. This also proposes guidelines for applying the principle in line with the structure, decision-making, and strategic management of modern organizations as a starting point for developing knowledge on moral leadership and fostering opportunities for further empirical and comparative studies, especially the implementation under the context of modern organizations which are diverse and dynamic.
