THE STUDY OF COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE CONCEPT OF SOCIAL CONFLICT BETWEEN THOMAS HOBBE’S SOCIAL CONTRACT THEORY AND KARL MARX'S COMMUNIST THEORY

Abstract

The academic article, “The study of Comparative study of the concept of social conflict between Thomas Hobbe’s social contract theory and Karl Marx's communist theory” aims to study and compare the concepts according to the social and political philosophy perspectives through the perspectives of Thomas Hobbes and Karl Marx on the issue of social conflict. The study found that social conflict in Thomas Hobbes’ perspective is caused by human selfishness. On the other hand, Karl Marx proposed that it is caused by the ruling class oppressing and exploiting the ruled class through the economic system. When comparing the two theories, it was found that the similarities of the theories are that social conflict is a normal condition driven by inner desires, and social conflict is a condition for social evolution. The differences in the theories are the causes, basic nature, and level of social conflict, Including the perception, approach, and goals of managing social conflict and economic relations.
