THE IMPOVERISHED PEOPLE: MODEL FOR POVERTY ALLEVIATION ACCORDING TO THE NEW THEORY

Abstract

The purpose of this research article is 3 objectives: 1) to study the poverty problem of people in Ubon Ratchathani Province, 2) to develop a model for solving poverty problems of people in Ubon Ratchathani Province according to new theoretical principles, and 3) To analyze the results of solving the poverty problem of people in Ubon Ratchathani Province according to the new theory, the researcher has analyzed the results of the study according to the 3 research objectives in the following order.

          The study found that poverty in Ubon Ratchathani Province stems from production costs, a lack of land for farming, household debt, reliance on local middlemen, a lack of knowledge and skills in planning, management, and production technology, and consumerism, addiction to vices and drugs, as well as health and hygiene issues. The approach to addressing poverty in Ubon Ratchathani Province is based on the New Theory, under various policies for addressing farmer poverty. This approach addresses poverty at the individual and family level, community-level poverty, and government and local government measures play a key role in addressing poverty in Ubon Ratchathani Province, based on the New Theory
