Abstract

The purposes of this research were to: 1) study the relationship of preschool children’s social behaviors before and after implementation through plays in miscellaneous game activities with simulation situations; and 2) compare preschool children’s social behaviors before and after implementation through plays in miscellaneous game activities with simulation situations. The population consisted of 16 preschool children, boys and girls, aged between 4-5 years, studied in Kindergarten year 2 in the 2nd semester of the academic year 2023 at Wat Thanon Khae School, Mueang Lop Buri District, Lop Buri Province.  This was a quasi-experimental research with a one-group pretest-posttest design.  The instruments were 24 plays in miscellaneous game activities with simulation situations lesson plans and preschool children’s social behaviors observation form, which covered 3 aspects: self-discipline, being a good member of society, and having responsibility.  The experiment took 8 weeks, 3 days a week, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with 40 minutes each during outdoor activities. The statistics used to analyze data were mean, standard deviation, and statistics used for testing hypotheses were Chi-square test, and difference value.

          The research results revealed that: 1) preschool children’s social behaviors before and after implementation through plays in miscellaneous activities with simulation situations, relationships exist in overall and in each aspect at the statistical significance level of .05; and 2) preschool children’s social behaviors after implementation through plays in miscellaneous activities with simulation situations was higher than before the experiment in overall and each aspect.
