Application of Buddhist Principle in the Administration of Bua Chet Sub-district Administration Organization, Bua Chet District, Suirn Province

Abstract

This thesis entitled ‘Application of Buddhist Principle in the Administration of Bua Chet Sub-district Administration Organization, Bua Chet District, Suirn Province’ has three objectives 1) to study the general problems of the Administration of Bua Chet Sub-district Administration Organization, Bua Chet District, Suirn Province, 2) to study the Buddhist principle in the Theravada Buddhism, and 3) to apply the Buddhist principle in the Administration of Bua Chet Sub-district Administration Organization, Bua Chet District, Surin Province. This thesis deployed the qualitative research methodology by studying documents from the Tripitaka and the Buddhist academic works as well as field studies where the data were collected from in-depth interviews. Finally, to present the analytic descriptive.

The results of the study are as follows: -

the general problems of the Administration of Bua Chet Sub-district Administration Organization, Bua Chet District, Surin Province found that the general conditions divided into three aspects viz; 1) economical aspect, 2) social aspect, and 3) political and administration aspect.

The Bua Chet Sub-District Administration Organization has been analyzed to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and limitations as information in the preparation of local development plans in various aspects to develop the locality to meet the needs of the people by the law. The various problems of the Bau Chet Sub-district Administration Organization have been lined with the government’s management polity.

The Buddhist principle in the Theravada Buddhism for administration in Theravada Buddhism found that the Buddhist principle for administration namely; 1) the application of the seven Appihanidhadhamma (conditions of welfare), 2) the application of the four Iddhipada (path of accomplishment), and applications of other Buddhist principles such as the five precepts, the four Brahmavihara (sublime states of mind).
