Local knowledge and wisdom in managing the Bo Kaeo Subdistrict community area

Abstract

This academic article is part of the study of documents and academic service projects on capacity development and the destruction of wisdom knowledge in the herbal forest area under the patronage of Venerable Phra Thepyanavisit (Chaitawee Kuttacitto) Ban Bo Kaeo,  Bokeo Subdistrict,  Ban Muang District,  Sakon Nakhon Province.  This is one of Rajabhat University’s key projects for local development for fiscal year 2024,  an activity of the field study in Sakon Nakhon Province  of the Program of Community Development in order to integrate teaching and learning , applying  theory and practice in the preparation of participatory herbal forest development plans and creating basic innovations, knowledge databases on herbs and medicinal formulations.  Therefore, this article reflects on understanding and analyzing the community context amid the changing situation of communities that affect the development of area management models linked to natural resources and the environment such as forest management, herbal  transformation,  organic and integrated agriculture (Nonna group), and community-based tourist management.  It is a set of knowledge based on local wisdom that reflects the efforts to manage very well the whole area in the community, suitable for the continuous development of spatial research issues.
