The Study on Opinions of Mahidol University Students' toward the Activities for Students Development

Abstract
The main purpose of this research is (1) to study opinions of Mahidol University students in participating student development activities; including sports, art & culture, academic and volunteer. (2) To study a comparison of opinions of Mahidol University students in participating students development activities. (3) To find the best way for Mahidol University student development activities, which suitable student aptitudes and abilities by using the survey research. The research sample was 392 Mahidol University students who are studying from 23 faculties in a bachelor degree of year 1-4, first semester in the academic year 2017. They obtained by calculating the sample size according to Taro Yamane formula, which the probability of an allowable error was 0.05. The research tools are a questionnaire on the rating scale of five levels according to the Likert model.
The research result showed as follows: 1) The Opinions of Mahidol University students on participating in student development activities, which each aspect are high level. 2) There are Mahidol University students, both male and female, no significant differences in opinions towards participation in student development activities at the .05 level of significance. 3) The opinions of Mahidol University students with different curriculum had no difference in opinions about their participation in each student development activities, at a significant .05 level. 4) The opinions of Mahidol University students who studied in different years in opinions about their participation in each student development activities, at a significant .05 level. 5) The students had opinions and suggestions for organizing student development activities in 4 areas, which found that the highest sampling frequency. The university should increase the number of activities and encourage various activities; including a variety of public relations for the activities. The volunteer activities should support the community service where the university located. Moreover, the university should provide the cultural exchange activities both Thai and internationalization; including supporting sport and health behavior, and strengthen an excellent student to participate in the internationalization conference.
