Factors Contributing for Major Selection of Ph.D. Program in Criminology, Criminal Justice and Society (Special Program)

Abstract
This study aimed to understand level of information perception of Ph.D. students in doctoral program of criminology and social justice administration (Special Program) and also examine factors related to decision making to register in major subjects. The study design was quantitative research and used questionnaire-based method to collect data from Ph.D. students enrolled in this program. A total of 27 students comprised of first and second year between 2015-2016. The finding showed students’ overall opinion to information perception fall into high level. When considering in each aspect, it found that opinion to information perception factor was in high level and supporting factor was in high level as well. In addition, overall of opinion to information perception correlated to decision making to study in this program (P-Value < .05).
