Factor Influencing Public Participation and Its Operation According to the Three-Year Social Development Strategic Plan at Salaya Municipality, Bhuddamonton District, Nakhon Pathom Province

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the factors of people’s participation and implementation results of the strategy of social development of three-year development plan of Salaya Subdistrict Municipality, 2) study implementation results of the strategy of social development of three-year development plan of Salaya Subdistrict Municipality, 3) study relationship between the factors of people’s participation and implementation results of the strategy of social development of three-year development plan of Salaya Subdistrict Municipality.  The sample groups consisted of 366 household representatives in responsible areas. Data were collected by questionnaires and the quantitative research. Statistics for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The research results were as follows:

1. People’s participation had high mean. The issue on community leaders had higher mean than the issues on personal characteristics, personal value, information, legal authority, receipt of benefits, and social pressure, respectively.


2. Implementation results of the strategy of social development of three-year development plan of Salaya Subdistrict Municipality had high mean.


3. The factor of people’s participation significantly and positively correlated with implementation results of the strategy of social development of three-year development plan of Salaya Subdistrict Municipality at the level of 0.05 in the moderate level. The issue on community leaders most considerably correlated with implementation results of the strategy of social development of three-year development plan of Salaya Subdistrict Municipality.
