พรมแดนความรู้ของงานวิจัยวิชาสังคมศึกษาในประเทศไทยในระหว่าง 2 ทศวรรษ (พ.ศ. 2500-2520)

บทคัดย่อ
งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษารากฐานของความรู้และการทำงานด้านการวิจัยด้านสังคมศึกษาที่ ผ่านมาในประเทศไทย โดยมีขอบเขตอยู่ในช่วงปี 2500-2520 จะพบว่างานวิจัยด้านสังคมศึกษาไทยได้รับอิทธิพลจากสหรัฐอเมริกาอย่างเข้มข้น ตั้งแต่ทศวรรษ 2500 เป็นต้นมา การศึกษาไทยถือว่ามีความสำคัญในฐานะเป็นเครื่องมือกล่อมเกลาทางสังคมของรัฐบาลไทยซึ่งอยู่ในช่วงเผด็จการทหาร กรณีวิชาสังคมศึกษา งานวิจัยส่วนใหญ่อยู่ในรูปแบบวิทยานิพนธ์ของระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาจะมีศูนย์กลางอยู่ที่คณะครุศาสตร์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย และจะขยายไปสู่มหาวิทยาลัยศรีนครินทรวิโรฒในช่วงกลางทศวรรษ 2510 ในทศวรรษ 2500 ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยที่ถูกนำมาใช้งานก็คือ การสำรวจผ่านแบบสอบถาม แต่ในทศวรรษ 2510 งานวิจัยเชิงทดลองจะเข้ามามีบทบาทมากยิ่งขึ้น และหัวข้อวิจัยในทศวรรษ 2510 จะสัมพันธ์กับช่วงที่การเมืองตึงเครียด ทั้งการเรียกร้องประชาธิปไตย และการต่อสู้กับคอมมิวนิสต์อีกด้วย
