DESIGNING OF SUPPLIER ASSESSMENT AND SUPPLIER RATING OF FISH FEED PACKAGING BAG IN THE QUALITY DIMENSION OF ABC FISH FEED COMPANY IN THE CENTRAL REGION

Abstract

The selection of the right supplier is the important activity for supplier relation. Every organization should determine the operation standard for operation practice. So the qualified supplier should understand the company requirements. This research is aimed to 1) design the supplier assessment of fish feed packaging bag in the quality dimension and 2) classify supplier rating in the quality dimension. Using Delphi Technique for interview the professional of logistics and supply chain amount 1 person; the person who involved in production line and fish feed packaging of ABC Fish Feed Company which consist of general manager, production technology manager, production technology senior engineer, packing section manager, packing section head, warehouse section head and packaging section head amount 7 persons; total amount 8 persons. The result showed that 1) the main criteria for supplier assessment of fish feed packaging bag in the quality dimension has 3 criteria which consisted of the potential of delivery, the quality of raw material and the production capacity, the conformance of quality and price. The potential of delivery is focused in the first priority; and 2) after the supplier assessment was assessed for supplier rating for the pilot test in October, 2017, the weight score is 68 so this supplier is classified into C class. Unfortunately that this supplier will be disadvantage the other supplier who classified above C class due to the impact of the unit price. However it will be the useful for the database in the decision of supplier selecting.
