Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • Originality & Unpublishing:
    The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • File Format & Template Compliance:
    The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format, strictly adhering to the formatting, font sizes, and line spacing specified in the official JIBIS Template.
  • Complete Double-Blind Anonymization:
    Two separate files are prepared for submission:

    A Title Page containing all author details, and

    An Anonymous Manuscript. To ensure a strict double-blind peer review, all author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, and identifying information have been completely removed from the main manuscript file.
  • Reference Formatting & DOI Inclusion:
    All references follow the APA 7th Edition style, and all Thai references have been translated/transliterated into English, followed by "(in Thai)." Furthermore, valid and active DOI URLs have been provided for all references where available.
  • Plagiarism Report Attached:
    A plagiarism check report (e.g., Turnitin) is ready to be uploaded as a supplementary file, with a similarity index of no more than 30% (excluding references).
  • Ethical Approval and AI Disclosure:
    If the study involves human subjects, the ethical approval number has been declared in the text. Furthermore, any use of Generative AI tools in the preparation of this manuscript has been fully disclosed in compliance with JIBIS Editorial Policies.

JIBIS Author Guidelines

Welcome to The Journal of Integrated Business Innovation and Sustainability (JIBIS). To ensure a smooth submission and review process, all authors must strictly adhere to the following guidelines:

1. General Submission Requirements
Originality: Submitted manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not currently under consideration by any other journal.

Language: The journal accepts manuscripts in both Thai and English. However, for all Thai manuscripts, the title, abstract, keywords, and references must be provided in English.

Scope: The manuscript must align with the journal's focus areas, which include:

  • managerial economics,
  • business innovation,
  • sustainable business (ESG),
  • financial innovation,
  • marketing innovation,
  • logistics,
  • strategic management,
  • organizational behavior (OB),
  • HR, 
  • Entrepreneurship, etc.

2. Manuscript Formatting, Structure, and Citation Guidelines
Length and Word Count: Manuscripts must be between 15–20 pages in total (including tables, figures, and references) utilizing the official JIBIS template. For English manuscripts, the total word count must be strictly limited to 6,000–8,000 words.

Typography and Font Sizes:

Thai Text: Use TH Sarabun New (or TH Sarabun PSK). Title: 18pt (Bold); Headings: 16pt (Bold); Body Text: 16pt (Regular).

English Text: Use Times New Roman. Title: 14pt (Bold); Headings: 12pt (Bold); Body Text: 12pt (Regular).

Line and Paragraph Spacing:

Line Spacing: Set to Single Spacing throughout the entire document.

Paragraph Spacing: Set to 0 pt Before and 6 pt After (No blank lines between paragraphs; use the paragraph spacing property instead).

Indentation: First line of each paragraph should be indented by 0.5 inches (1.27 cm).

Abstract Structure:

Every manuscript must include an abstract written in a single, continuous paragraph without any subheadings or indentations.

The abstract must be concise, cohesive, and substantive (between 150–250 words), clearly summarizing the research objective, methodology, key results, and major managerial implications or conclusions.

Citation and Referencing Style (Strictly APA 7th Edition):

In-text Citations: Authors must use the author-date system (e.g., Somsak, 2026; Red & Blue, 2026). For works with three or more authors, use the first author's name followed by "et al." (e.g., Green et al., 2026).

Reference List: All sources cited in the text must be listed alphabetically by the author's last name at the end of the manuscript.

Mandatory English Conversion: The journal strictly prohibits any Thai script in the reference list. All Thai sources must be translated or transliterated into English, followed by (in Thai) at the very end of that specific reference entry.

DOI Inclusion: Authors are strictly required to include the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) URL for all references where a DOI is available. The DOI must be formatted as a full, active secure link (e.g., [https://doi.org/10.xxxx/xxxxx](https://doi.org/10.xxxx/xxxxx)).

3. Submission Checklist
Before submitting via the ThaiJO system, please ensure you have prepared the following files:

Title Page (with Author Details): A separate file containing the manuscript title, names of all authors, academic/institutional affiliations, and the corresponding author's email address.

Anonymous Manuscript (Main Text File): The complete article text formatted according to the JIBIS template. To ensure a strict double-blind peer review, this file must NOT contain any author names, affiliations, acknowledgments, or identifying information.

Cover Letter & Author Declaration Form: A document signed by the corresponding author confirming the originality of the work and disclosing any conflicts of interest.

Plagiarism Check Report: Authors must submit a plagiarism report from an accredited system (e.g., Turnitin or CopyCatch). The similarity index must not exceed 30% (excluding references).

4. Publication Fees (Editorial Policy)
JIBIS is a fully open-access journal and does NOT charge any submission or publication fees. In line with our mission to promote accessible academic knowledge, authors can publish their research free of charge.

Research Article

This section publishes original empirical, qualitative, quantitative, or theoretical research articles that provide significant new insights and contributions to the fields of integrated business innovation, sustainability, and related disciplines. All submissions must present rigorous methodologies, clear theoretical frameworks, and substantial discussions of findings.

Peer Review Policy: All manuscripts in this section undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process by at least three (3) independent external experts in the relevant field. The editorial board ensures that reviewers are selected from outside the authors' affiliated institutions to maintain absolute objectivity and academic integrity.

Academic Article

This section includes high-quality conceptual, theoretical, or analytical papers that discuss, critique, or propose new frameworks, concepts, or perspectives in business administration and sustainability. While these papers may not always rely on new empirical data, they must offer profound logical analysis and intellectual advancement to contemporary academic debates.

Peer Review Policy: All academic articles undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process by at least two (2) to three (3) independent external experts before a final publication decision is made by the Editor-in-Chief.

Review Article

This section features comprehensive, critical, and state-of-the-art evaluations of existing literature within the journal’s scope. Review articles should synthesize current research trends, critically analyze key debates, identify critical knowledge gaps, and propose clear directions for future research in business innovation or sustainable management.

Peer Review Policy: Manuscripts in this section are subject to a strict double-blind peer review process by at least three (3) independent external experts to ensure the depth, accuracy, and academic value of the synthesis.

Book Review

This section provides critical, scholarly evaluations of recently published books, monographs, and significant reports relevant to global business innovation, sustainability, management, and economics. Book reviews should summarize the core content, evaluate the author's arguments, and assess the book’s overall contribution to the academic and professional community.

Review Policy: Submissions in this section undergo an editorial review by the Editorial Board or a single-blind review process to ensure relevance, academic tone, and quality.

The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.
