About the Journal
Journal Profile and History
The Journal of KMITL Business School (formerly the KMITL Journal of Administration and Management – FAM) is an open‑access electronic journal published by King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) Business School. It is assigned the online ISSN 2985‑167X. The journal’s mission is to advance academic scholarship and professional practice by disseminating high‑quality research and theoretical development in the fields of business administration, management, economics, and related disciplines.
Aims and Scope
The journal aims (1) to disseminate knowledge arising from theoretical and empirical research in business administration and allied fields; and (2) to foster the development of new insights and innovations in management and economic practice. Interdisciplinary contributions that connect business with economics, entrepreneurship, organisational behaviour, finance, or other social sciences are welcome.
Publication Frequency
Two issues are published annually: Issue 1 covers January–June, and Issue 2 covers July–December. Articles are made available online immediately after acceptance and completion of the editorial process.
Article Types
Three categories of peer‑reviewed articles are accepted:
- Research Articles – reports of empirical research that include background and rationale, literature review, methodology, validity and reliability considerations, and discussion and conclusions.
- Academic Articles – conceptual or theoretical papers that analyse and synthesise principles, theories, and frameworks relevant to business and management.
- Review Articles – state‑of‑the‑art reviews of scholarly literature or practice on a specific topic, involving critical analysis, comparison, and synthesis of sources.
Submissions should be written in either Thai or English and must not have been previously published or under consideration elsewhere.
Peer‑Review Process
The journal employs a double‑blind peer‑review process. Each submission is evaluated by three independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant field who are from different departments. Neither authors nor reviewers are aware of each other’s identities, and reviewers are not affiliated with the same department as the authors. Manuscripts are judged on originality, methodological rigour, scholarly significance, and relevance to the journal’s aims.
Open Access and Publication Fees
The Journal of KMITL Business School provides immediate open access to its content. There are no article processing charges (APCs); KMITL Business School supports the journal. Authors and readers may freely read, download, and share articles. For maximum dissemination, the journal encourages the use of a Creative Commons licence for published work. The current policy holds that copyright for articles belongs to the journal; however, authors grant the journal the right of first publication and retain the freedom to share their work with acknowledgment of the journal’s publication.
Support and Governance
The journal is published and financially supported by the KMITL Business School. Its editorial operations are overseen by an editor‑in‑chief, assistant editors, and an editorial board comprising scholars from KMITL and other universities. Contact details for the editorial office are provided on the journal’s website.
