Guidelines for Excellent Early Childhood Education Management in Educational Institutions under the jurisdiction of the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The purposes of this research were: (1) to develop guidelines for excellence in early childhood education management, and (2) to evaluate the appropriateness and feasibility of these guidelines.   The research methodology consisted of two phases. The first phase involved the development and validation of the guidelines through document analysis and content validity assessment by five experts. The second phase focused on evaluating the appropriateness and feasibility of the proposed guidelines by collecting opinions from a sample of 227 school administrators and early childhood teachers under the Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and t-test.

            The results revealed that: (1) the developed guidelines for excellence in early childhood education management comprised 73 practices categorized into seven aspects: leadership (11 items), strategy (14 items), students and stakeholders (6 items), measurement and knowledge management (11 items), workforce (8 items), operations (9 items), and results (14 items); and (2) the overall appropriateness of the guidelines was at a high level, while the feasibility was at the highest level, with mean scores significantly higher than the specified criterion of 3.50 at the .05 level of statistical significance.
