Model of Propagation of Buddhism in Spiritual Complex Wat Chonlapratan Rangsarit, Royal Monastery, Pakkret District Nonthaburi Province

Abstract

The objectives of this doctoral dissertation are as follows: 1.To study the Buddhist activities of the "Land of Miraculous Dhamma" at Wat Chonprathan Rangsarit, a royal monastery in Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi Province. 2.To explore the forms of Buddhist dissemination aimed at promoting moral and ethical values through the activities of the "Land of Miraculous Dhamma" at Wat Chonprathan Rangsarit. 3.To propose a model of Buddhist dissemination practiced at the "Land of Miraculous Dhamma" at Wat Chonprathan Rangsarit.

This is a mixed methods research, combining documentary research and in-depth interviews with 30 key informants, including 20 administrators of the "Land of Miraculous Dhamma" and 10 representatives from external agencies.The activities conducted in the "Land of Miraculous Dhamma" include Dhamma lectures, meditation training, exhibitions of Dhamma-inspired art, and the use of online media technologies to reach younger generations. These activities aim not only to instill moral and ethical values in participants, but also to promote behavioral and attitudinal transformation in their daily lives.The proposed model of Buddhist dissemination features an integration of three core components: 1.Preservation of traditional approaches, such as Dhamma preaching and meditation practice.2.Application of modern technologies for learning, such as digital media and virtual experiences. 3.Creation of participatory learning spaces, which encourage individuals of all genders and ages to take part in the sharing and transmission of Dhamma experiences. The key conceptual contribution from this research is the development of a model called “The Threefold Integration for Dissemination”, comprising “Traditional Wisdom,” “Contemporary Technology,” and “Community Participation.”
