Abstract

This article is written to analyze the concepts in Buddhism in order to apply them to solve environmental problems. By studying the problems of the environment caused by human beings living without considering the coexistence with the environment like a consumerist society, causing humans to destroy nature and causing severe environmental crises which affects the human way of life. The author has studied the documentary work to answer the question whether Buddhism has a concept that can really solve environmental problems or not as shown in Buddhist principles such as the Three Characteristics, Five Aggregates, the Dependent Origination, the Four Noble Truth, and etc. A study of Buddhist philosophy towards humans, animals and the environment. found that Buddhism concepts could be applied to cultivate the mind to love nature as the various principles are consistent with universal teachings that helps to promote understanding of natural conservation in a practical way, developing oneself to have a consciousness of kindness toward all living things in nature will be a good starting point for   practicing in eliminating suffering for nature in order to bring sustainable development that is tangible and fast by cultivating a new consciousness that neither man nor animal is the center, but the Earth and what makes the Earth exist is the most important thing to realize at this time. Everything runs simultaneously in this world with infinite interrelationships.
