A Philosophical Analysis on Siames Chronicle

Abstract

In this research, an attempt was made to philosophically study Thai society in Siamese chronicle and then to analytically study the value in Siamese chronicle.  This is a documentary research.  The result was found as follows:


1) Thai society in Siamese chronicle was of simple and happy way of life in accordance with the environment of that time. Most of people were agriculturists. This study was done in three aspects: the aspect of education, administration or ruling, and justice. 2) The study was found that Thai people had followed many kinds of philosophy, such as, Metaphysics, Epistemology, Ethics and Aesthetics. 3) In the analysis of values, it was found that the value in education, in administration or ruling and in justice. Each of these three aspects, some values were found as follows: Necessary Value, Bonded Value, and the others. With respect to the value related to the view of Utilitarianism, it is to explain that Education possesses value because it gains more happiness for the many people. In the value in Ethics, it is to explain that Education is pointed to good and right actions. The aspect of the rest is also quite same in details.
