The Form of Lai Thai Prophecy Based on Buddhist Integration

Abstract

The study entitled “The Form of Lai Thai  Prophecy Based on Buddhist Integration”contained 3 objectives; 1) to study the principle of prophecy based on Lai Thai cards, 2) to study of Buddhist teachings concerning the principle of Lai Thai prophecy and 3) the forms of Lai Thai prophecy based on Buddhist integration. It was a qualitative research emphasizing on documentary data. Its findings were that astrology concerns with for predicting life and situations. Lai Thai prophecy was discovered firstly in Thailand containing 78 cards. Lai Thai prediction can be applied as the tools to solve immoral behavior using Buddhist teachings for the best interests of individual and society. The form of Lai Thai prophecy based on Buddhist integration was classified into 2 parts; 1) major including 22 cards and 2) minor group including 56 cards divided into Wand set 14 cards, Sword set 14 cards, Cup set 14 cards and Coin set 14 cards. The predictions are seen in 5 aspects; 1) monetary aspect supported by 4 Dhitthadhammikattha etc., 2) works supported by right livelihood, 4 Iddhipāda etc., 3) love integrated by Garavasadhamma 4, 5 Sila, Patirupadesa etc., 4) family integrated by Santutth in Mangalasutta, gratitude etc. and 5) health aspect can be integrated by Appamādadhamma etc.
