Abstract

This dissertation entitled "Analysis of metaphors on five groups of personality in Suttantapitaka" Which were found  in 35 metaphors. Their they could classify 17 types: Mango, Gem, Buckboard, Cloth, Cadaver, Fish, Timber, Nest of disease, Sack, Lather, Cowboy, Carpenter, Nature, Wood, Cow dung, Chicken feather, Sponge, and could classify 7 types: Material, Conveyance, Lifeless, Fruit, Animal, Nature and People. The two ways of the Buddhist teaching on five groups of personality with metaphors are found in 3 forms: 1) using the way of explanation  2) using the way of instance  3) using the way of comparison.
