Abstract

: The research is the study and analysis of distribution characteristics of the elderly and social welfare of the elderly in Bangkok, Thailand. This study aims to study the number of elderly people separated by district in Bangkok from 2013-2022. According to the Department of Provincial Administration, the number of elderly people in Bangkok has increased annually over the past 10 years and across all districts—except in 2013, when the elderly population was higher than in 2014.  Next, the study was conducted on the amounts of social welfare of the elderly people separated by district in Bangkok in 2022, which involved nursing homes, residential care homes and public parks. These three factors were studied to see the correlation between the number of elderly people in Bangkok, using the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method. The results found that residential care homes were related to the number of elderly people in Bangkok with an R value is 0.513, R2 is 0.264, F value is 5.491 and Significance F value is 0.003. The p-value of 0.0003 for the number of residential care homes indicates that, among all the independent variables, only this factor was significantly related to the dependent variable—the number of elderly people in Bangkok.
