Product and Packaging Development of Japanese Sweet Potato of Tha Muang Community, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province

Abstract
The aim of this research was to study community products in order to develop guidelines for product management in Tha Muang Community, Selaphum District, Roi Et Province. The developed prototype products represent the values and identity of the community and product management guidelines from the local wisdom of Tha Muang community, Selaphum district, Roi Et province as guidelines to encourage the community to use in the future. Key informants included experts, academics, and 16 group members, and information was obtained from operating a 3-month training trial of a Japanese sweet potato planting demonstration plot. The data was collected from semi- structured in-depth interviews. Statistics was used in the data analysis synthesized and interpreted from in-depth interview and descriptive statistics was used with the data from the questionnaire. Results revealed that community management to support product development was highly feasible. Therefore, guidelines for success can be designed that are conducive to the way of life for participating community members in every step of the operation. However, it is important to note that community leaders are the driving force for community product development
