A Lesson Learned from Driving Operation of Self-help Land Settlement of Northern Zone: A Case Study of Withdrawal of Self-help Land Settlements

Abstract

This study aimed: 1) to study the effectiveness of operations of self-help land settlement of northern zone 2) to prepare guidelines for the overall removal of the self-help land settlement of the northern zone. The result of the study was as follows; 1) there were 4 aspects of the effectiveness of the removal of Self-help Land Settlements of Northern Zone: auditing the map of sheet number to be completed, expediting the release of certificate of utilization, and creating public relations for the members of self-help land settlement and agencies to know and the preparation of various information. The implementation of the self-help land settlement project still had limitations that needed to be addressed and to increase work efficiency. The project should be continued for the next 10 years to comply. 2) There is a way to withdraw the self-help land settlement of Northern Zone as follows; accelerate data collection and coordination of members network partners and relevant agencies to obtain complete and up-to-date information, determine the criteria for the quality of life of the settlement members and use information about the Settlement members to enhance the quality of life.
