Research and Development for Community Enterprises in San Sai Ton Kok Village, Fa Ham Sub–district, Muang District,Chiang Mai Province

Abstract
The objectives of the study are 1) to evaluate the administration potential 2) to develop production system and 3) to integrate marketing knowledge to develop San Sai Ton Kok community enterprise, Fa Ham sub-district, Muang district, Chiang Mai Province. The study project collected data by surveying, questionnaires, interviews and group discussions. The participants were members of the handicraft community enterprise of Ban Saleeping Jai Kaew Kwang and the Agricultural Production Group, San Sai Ton Kok village and training. Quantitative data was analyzed by an instantaneous program. Qualitative data was analyzed and reported descriptively. The following were the results of the study:
- The group’s potential
1.1 The handicraft community enterprise of Ban Saleeping Jai Kaew Kwang, the findings revealed that the administration of the group before and after the project, the group had good potential for planning, administration, monitoring and improving. As for the marketing, the group had medium level potential in marketing before running the project. After running the project, it was at a good level. As for the production the group potential for production before running the project was at a medium level. After running the project, it was at a good level.
1.2 The Agricultural Production Group, It was found that before the project, the group had potential in planning at a medium level. After the project was run, the group had the potential for planning at a good level. As for the administration, the group had potential in administration at a medium level. With regard to the monitoring of the group, it had potential for monitoring at a good level. As for the improvement, before running the project it was at a medium level. After running the project, it was at a good level. With regard to the marketing, the group had potential at a medium level . As for the production, before the project, the group had potential in production at a medium level. After the project, it had potential at a good level.
- Results of the integration of marketing knowledge to develop community enterprises
The integration of marketing knowledge to develop community enterprises was carried out by e-marketing on websites which was to integrate community products supply channel and the products advertisement with the community culture and its tourist attractions.
- The findings of the research and development in production system
There was a development in the production system of the handicraft community enterprise of Baan Saleeping Jai Kaew Kwang by providing a painting workshop by a specialized expert. The knowledge gained can also be applied with product designing to increase the products value and the advantage to compete in the market. For the development of the Agricultural Production Group, the members of the group were given training about food hygiene and the quality of food. Therefore, they can be ready to apply for the Thai Community Product Standards license or the Thai Food and Drug Standards license.
