Potential Analysis of Agricultural Officers of Local Administrative Organizations and Rice Farmer Groups for Suitable Development Plan

Abstract

This article presented potential analysis result of agricultural officers of local administrative organizations and rice farmer groups in 2 districts in Tak and suitable design of development plan of rice farmers. This research was also cooperation between 5 agricultural officers of local administrative organizations from 5 sub districts and rice farmer groups involving114 people from 5 sub districts. Participatory action research were used. Data collection was done by reviewing literature, interview and group meeting. The potential was analyzed by characteristic analysis, similarity/difference analysis and SWOT analysis. It was found that potential of agricultural officers in 5 sub districts was the ability in managing rice production development plan consistent with potential and problems of rice farmers. The limitation of agricultural officers was lack of knowledge and new technologies on rice production. Potential and problems of rice farmer groups had been used for suitable plans by using potential of rice farmer groups as a base for solving problems. Such potential is body of knowledge on rice production that can be passed on and exchanged with one another. This would give rise to suitable plans for developing rice farmers.
