Abstract
This article aims to study citizenship in terms of its role and significance in societal development, focusing on the importance of public participation in various aspects of society, such as helping others, preserving the environment, and promoting social justice. Citizenship is not limited to just the rights, duties, and participation of citizens in social and political processes; it is a key concept in modern human society that involves active participation in activities and takes responsibility for society, ultimately creates benefits for the community. Therefore, citizenship is not only about being a member of a state or nation, but also about the rights, duties, and roles one plays in improving society. Citizenship is both a right and a responsibility that contributes to fostering peace and justice in society.
