Learning Management based on SSCS with KWDL Technique on Learning Achievement and Mathematics Problem Solving Skills of Grade 6 Students

Abstract

          The objectives of this research were 1) to compare grade 6 students’ learning achievement before and after using learning management based on SSCS with KWDL technique; 2) to compare grade 6 students’ mathematics problem-solving skills after using the learning management based on SSCS with the KWDL technique with the criteria of 70 percentage; 3) to study the satisfaction of grade 6 students on learning management based on SSCS with the KWDL technique. The research samples group in this research were 23 grade 6 students at Wangdee School in the second semester of the 2023 academic year. Cluster random sampling was employed. The instruments of this research consisted of lesson plans based on SSCS with the KWDL technique, a learning achievement test, a mathematics problem-solving skill test, and a satisfaction questionnaire on learning management. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean ( ), standard deviation (SD), and t-test. The results of the research showed that: 1) the student’s learning achievement after learning management based on SSCS with the KWDL technique was higher than before, with statistically significant at the level of .05, 2) the student’s mathematics problem-solving skill after learning management based on SSCS with the KWDL technique was higher than the criteria of 70 percentage with statistically significant at the level of .05 with the average of 85.72 percentage, 3) the student’s satisfaction with the learning management was at the highest level.
